Good description of Second Life

It's been interesting to really try to define what Second is (and is not). Found this on a blog (http://www.transhumanism.org/index.php/WTA/more/1229/) and thought it was the best succinct description I had found.

Rather, Second Life is an experimental creative space, a primitive holodeck, an art gallery, and a highly flexible meeting space...Second Life can provide a means for people to interact in real-time, discussing strategy and sharing ideas and memes regardless of physical geographical separation. "
